WHO IS SHE?

Ada Franzoni is graduated of "Universidad de Buenos Aires" in English-spanish Sworn translation, she had a master of arts degree on Translation. Moreover, She is a member of Colegio Publico de Traductores.

 

A correspondent member of the international Association of Forensic Linguistics. She is specialized in legal, economic, financial, foreign trade, technical and advertising fields.

ACADEMIC CAREER

Her recent work is mostly focus on Criminal law, civil and criminal procedure materials.

THEORY

Ada Franzoni states that legal translation is not only between but also between two legal systems, since legal translators have to know not only about the linguistic part of both languages, but also about the two legal systems which involves both cultures.

Translation requires careful and skillful handling. Ada Franzoni states that legal translation is not only between two languages but also between two legal systems since legal translators have to know not only about the linguistic part of both languages, but also about the legal systems of both of them.

ABOUT US

Translation Course started in 2010 as part of the Modern Languages Program Curriculum. It is addressed to those students who want to go further particularly in this field. This  elective has been mainly designed  to reflect upon the  theoretical as well the practical aspects that deal with direct and reverse translation. It is pretended that the learner will improve his/her translation competence.
