Accorging to the author Enrique Garcia Díaz, he talks about the definition of Literal Translation, free translation and why it is essential in terms of literature writings. For us, we are totally in agreement that literal translation can be used as a tool in science, legal and technical documents, in this case the translator has to keep the main concepts and structure of the source language. In contrast, the way literal translation is established does not apply to literature writings because the sense is not transmited as it would be in the source language. This means, the translator has to be very careful with the sense of the source language because in this type of composition the reader wants to percieve the real sense og the original text. On the other hand, what free translation means, we can say that it is important the translator understands the message the text really transmits in order to translate sense instead of word for word; besides, the translator needs to keep the main essence of the original text. As this is a hard job, the translator must deeply analyze the document to be translated.
